SENIOR CLASS Ill TDRY In the fall of 1949 the Seniors of 1953 started school with twenty-two freshmen--eleven girls and eleven boys. During our four years of high school, we have lost six m b L em ers of our class. They are LeRoy Peterson, aNel Russman, Lester Gerch, Burnell Beutler, Myrna Bray, and Marian Lase. The class elected class officers early in the year. They are as follows: President, Lester Wegnerg Vice President, Marvin Daberkowg Secretary and Treasurer, Royce Munderloh, Class Reporter, Jack Gardes. Members of the class that are in band are Bett y Munderloh, Geraldine Havekost, Betty Gatzemeyer, Myrna Loy Leimer, Lester Wegner, Royce Munderloh, and Vernon Munderloh. The Senior girls were well represented by Jolene Kolell Betty Gatzemeyer and Marion Brehmer as three of the cheerleaders All of the senior girls took part in girls athletics and pep club The boys also were represented in all schoolactivities Those taking their places on the football held were Lester We ner Jack Gardes Walter Burhoop Royce Munderloh Marvin Daberkow Vernon Munderloh and Dean Kjeldgaar Basketball season found Lester We ner Ja k G d g c ar es Marvin Daberkow Dean KJeldgaard and Roy ce Munderloh on the team Dean Kjeldgaard went out for track The student body elected Lester Wegner and Marion Brehmer as King and Queen of Color Day Royce Munderloh and Geraldine Havekost were Senior attendants We the Senior Class chose as our colors bl ue and gold as our flower the yellow rose and as our motto Not Finished Just Begun 532 0' pb!-53' A 5, Bets Q N eid ceqyh I I I 5 D U I I . C ASS PROPIIECY Last ntght I had a horrrble nx htmare I was takrng a trtp tn my car out west When I stopped at a gas statton out tn the country Norma Block was t ere waterrng her horse I talked to her and she told me the ltttle boy who was wrth her was Lauren Jr She also rnformed me that she and Lauren Hermelbracht had been marrred for two years and own a btg ranch As I was paytng the man for the gas a couple masked men came up and demanded all the money the man had lust then the sherrff came and arrested the two men I went over to talk to the sherrff and to my surprtse rt was Vernon Munderloh He tnformed me he was ettlng manned the followrng week but he wouldn t tell who the lucky grrl was He must be bashful????? After we ftms ed talkrn we dectded to take the masks off the robbers and the two robbers turned out to be Jack Gardes and Marvtn Daber ow Jack and Marvm confessed to thetr crtmes Lmmedtately After htgh school lack and Marvtn were too lazy to work so they thought they d try to make a lxvtng the easy way Vernon tells me Jack and Marvtn are wanted m pra ctlcally every state They are worth 310 000 aprece dead or alrve I suppose Ia ck and Marvtn are proud that they re worth so much Whrle I was rn town I went to the store to get some dog food for my dog The owner of the store turned out to be Lola Peterson She tells me she has been marrted for about seven months Just as I was ready to leave the store Rosa Mae Hultqutst walked rn She xsenga ed to a fellow from Fremont Hrs name has slrpped my mxnd for the moment Rosa tells me she has been worktng tn a ca e As tt was getttng late I rented a hotel room for the mght I bought a Movre Screen magazrne and was look mg through rt when I ran across some ptctures that looked famrllar I looked closer and found tt to be Jolene Kolell Marlon Brehmer and Myrna Loy Letmer As I read further Ifound that they went to Hollywood soon after they graduated Jolene and Myrna are marrred to some ktds from Hardlngton and Marlon ts marrted to a fellow from Pender I also read asrde and went to sleep The next U10l'Il1ng I conttnued my Joumey As I was drrvmg along I had to slow up for a herd of sheep To my surprlse I found that Dean Kjeldgaard was the herder of the sheep Dean came over to the car and talked awhlle He rs a bachelor and plans to stay that way He has been ratsmg sheep all h1s ltfe As soon as the sheep were across the road I went on my way After I had gone about ftve or stx mtles I had a flat tue tn front of brg farm wtth a house that looked ltke a manston I went to the door and to my surprtse Betty Munderloh answered tt She had her husband John Russman go f1x the ttre In the meanttme she told me she and John ot marrted shortly after she graduated She has a glrl and a boy who were playmg rn the back yard About that time Jo n had the ure ftxed so I went on my way After I had been out west for a few days I started on my way home I stopped rn Denver Colorado to get lunch To my surprtse Betty Gatzemeyer and Geraldtne Havekost were eattng lunch there also They are both secretarres rn a department store tn Denver They are marrted and thetr husbands are tn the navy After I had eaten I started for home once a am I went through a town called West Potnt and saw Walter Burhoop l asked hun what he had been dorng s1nce hecgra uated He sard he came to West Pomt rt ht away and got a Job at a garage and later on marrred Donna L They ha twlns about stx months ago I congratulated tm and went on my way Before I ot to Bancroft I went by the Logan Dredge I was surprtsed to see Lester Wegner Royce Munderloh and Jack Gardes t ere tn untforms Lester and Royce told me they jotned the Coast Guards after they graduated and are guardtng the Logan Dredge l guess they don t want too many ftsh to go down the stream wrthout seerng them I asked Jack why he was there and he told me he reformed and decided to Jom too After hes out he and Florence Hermelbracht are getttng marrted Lester and Royce dtdn t say what they were gorng to do after they get out but I suppose they ll get marr1ed??? Jack also told me Marvtn refomled and settled down to a happtly rnarrted lrfe wtth Joan Sorensen About that ttrne the alarm clock rang and I woke up where the three girls are starring in their first picture, The'Three Torches. As I was getting tired, I laid the magazine
