TALENTED AND GIFTED TAG has had another success- ful year with many new activities implemented. One new addition to the program was the weekly meetings with the TAG sponsor, lvls. Culbertson. Creativity, brain functions, leadership qualifica- tions, and motivation were dis- cussed at the meetings. Stu- dents are selected based on scores on standardized tests and teacher recommendations. Most students scored at least in the 90th percentile. Some ideas be- ing considered by the group are various field trips, such as a trip to the Rhine River and a trip to Bonn to see how the German government functions. These mo- tivated young adults may be to- morrow's leaders. i 14 3 411 X .l 14. 3 i i TAG ,..,.....- A83

Their main activity was the tutoring of students in math and science. As a result of this, many students showed great improve- ment in their school grades. Also, NHS sold baked goods during lunch in order to finance their in- duction ceremony, which is held during the spring of each school year. With all the assistance giv- en by dedicated members to the school and student body, NHS has shown itself an active and important part of BAHS.
