Bamberg's literary-arts magazine, REFLECTIONS, is a collection of BAHS student writing and art work compiled by Mrs. Krauchi's creative writing class. From September through February students submit work for possible publication. The class then evaluates the work and selects the Reflections best for publication and to use for two writing awards-best prose and best poetryg and two art awards-best cover design and best art work. A cash award of S25 is given in each category. Hmterbrand For the past two years Mrs. Liv- ingston and Mr. Dinter have taken thirteen students to Hinterbrand Lodge, near Garmisch, for a week of outdoor education. While there they participate in outdoor ac- tivities which include rappelling, hiking and cross-country skiing. They cook for themselves and the group they meet there. They work together on group projects which teach cooperation and how to ac- cept responsibility. Everyone learns to like the usual morning Run-and-Dip which includes the early morning jog and swim in a cool mountain stream. w 41
