The National Honor Society The National Honor Society is an elite society composed of students with outstanding scholar- ship, leadership, and other unique qualities. All members of the NHS are selected based on their grade point average, and by teacher recommendations. The NHS members started the year with a bake sale and by co- sponsoring a dance with the FBLA. Both fundraisers were to raise money to add some excite- ment to their activities. The NHS will close out the year by having an induction ceremony at the Bamberg Chapel sometime in May. mmm s xwwmmmh if ff'

Following the cue for the Drill Team , the Pep Club accom- panied the Barons on several road trips. The Pep Club squad has made it their business to rally both home and visiting crowds to their feet to show that one of a kind 'Baron Spirit'. Hmterbrand For the past two years Mrs. Liv- ingston and Mr. Dinter have taken thirteen students to Hinterbrand Lodge, near Garmisch, for a week of outdoor education. While there they participate in outdoor ac- tivities which include rappelling, hiking and cross-country skiing. They cook for themselves and the group they meet there. They work together on group projects which teach cooperation and how to ac- cept responsibility. Everyone learns to like the usual morning Run-and-Dip which includes the early morning jog and swim in a cool mountain stream. w 41
