The tree of knowledge was erased and our logo takes its place. A fresh new coat of paint decorates the exterior of our school. People from all over used to see our school as small and unspirited. The Barons are small, but they certainly aren't unspirited. We are small, but big at heart. 1987 Der Reiter ,, ' V , ,, ' , 0 I .,.......f'1x. All members of the NHS are selected based on their grade point average, and by teacher recommendations. The NHS members started the year with a bake sale and by co- sponsoring a dance with the FBLA. Both fundraisers were to raise money to add some excite- ment to their activities. The NHS will close out the year by having an induction ceremony at the Bamberg Chapel sometime in May. mmm s xwwmmmh if ff' Hmterbrand For the past two years Mrs. Liv- ingston and Mr. Dinter have taken thirteen students to Hinterbrand Lodge, near Garmisch, for a week of outdoor education. While there they participate in outdoor ac- tivities which include rappelling, hiking and cross-country skiing. They cook for themselves and the group they meet there. They work together on group projects which teach cooperation and how to ac- cept responsibility. Everyone learns to like the usual morning Run-and-Dip which includes the early morning jog and swim in a cool mountain stream. w 41 Bamberg's literary-arts magazine, REFLECTIONS, is a collection of BAHS student writing and art work compiled by Mrs. Krauchi's creative writing class. From September through February students submit work for possible publication. The class then evaluates the work and selects the Reflections best for publication and to use for two writing awards-best prose and best poetryg and two art awards-best cover design and best art work. A cash award of S25 is given in each category.
