Bamberg's ROTC was active and alive in 1985-86! The cadets of the 51st AJROTC Battalion led a very active role in support of communi- ty and school activities. The ac- tivities included numerous perfor- mances by various Color Guards, Fancy Drill Team demonstrations, support of the Community NEO exercises, Buddy Poppy sales for the VFW and performances for the Armed Forces European Exchange System Appreciation Day 85 . In addition the cadets proved knowledgeable of basic military skills having participated in exten- sive hands on training with the MIGAI Rifle and Gas Chamber Exercises. The most enjoyable day of each week was Class Av uniform inspection day. During that period each cadet was in- spected for appearance, military bearing and general knowledge of the AJ ROTC.
