Gumrnies galore! Along with brotchens and chocolate and many other delicious foods Frau Heints' colorful store was a favorite hang out this year. A familiar scene to Bamberg High students, the outside of Frau Heints' Gumi Store. Open since 1957, Frau Heints sells many treats, especially the very popular gumis. Business as usual scolds Frau Heints. No time for pictures! The Gumi Store is a busy place and keeps Frau Heints on the run. And no, she doesn't like gumis.

A Rather Gumi Story A Visit With Frau Heints Do you want to go to the Gumi Store? . . . was a popular question this year at BAHS and the Gumi Store, just as popular, was often as crowded. Lunch time found the tiny, colorful store filled to overflowing with kids of all ages. From sixth graders to freshmen to seniors. Kids were still jamming in to get that necessary bag of gumis to see them through the afternoon. What a nuisance we must have been. Demanding this and now that. But Frau Heints, the owner of the gumi store was quite patient. She would laugh or scold as the mood took her, satisfying our demands, and then urging us to rush back to school so as not to be late. She made those long winter afternoons speed by as we an- ticipated our lunch time or after school visits. Though always busy, The Gumi Store Lady as Frau Heints is call- ed, found enough time for all of us. Giving us many special Gumi filled days. We'd like to thank Frau Heints again and we hope she will continue selling Gumis for a long time to come.

Good Times Are Here Again! Work and good times. We combined both at school this year. From hanging out with friends to working hard in class, we made the most of life. Even during winter as we rushed from frozen buses to the warm building, we took time out to stop and laugh. Sometimes our teachers drove us crazy and we wanted to scream, but we managed to enjoy ourselves fthough often we cou1dn't control ourselvesb. But our friends helped us through these times with smiles and humor. J eez, all Ido around here is work! Just a LITTLE crowded, don't ya think guys? 7th graders leam the rigor of Army training in Mrs. McKinney's PE class. 10 it 2
