R I ,Q 7 I lfLIUS G. HLUBB A.B., M.Ed. I'iccf-Priizcipal Mr. .Iulius C. Hlubb, who returned to City College in IQ56 to become Vice-Principal, was first associated with the school as a student. Immediately following his fracluation in l925, he attended Cettvsburr Collefe, 3 , S A where he received an A.B. degree and a Phi Beta Kappa key. ln 1930, the year following his college graduation, Nlr. Hlubb returned to his high school alma mater as an English instructor, a post he held until l938, when he was appointed counselor at Patterson Park High School. Having served in this capacity for two years, he again returned to City, this time as a counselor. ln ISM-l, Hr. Hlubb entered the armed forces, returning in lllrlli to his previous post. While serving as counselor in lflifl, he was awaicltcl the degree ol Nlastei ol l.du cation by the johns Hopkins l'niversity. Five years later, his career took him to Hamilton .lunior High, where he was special assistant, and, a year alterwarcls, to XVooclbourne .junior High, where he served as Vice- Principal. Finally, in 1956, -Iulius CL. Hlubb once again returned to City College as Vice-l'riucipal. DAVID KAUFNIAN A.B. Vice-Princijml Succeeding the retired Vice-Principal Carl F. XY. Schmehl, Mr. David Kaufman has been intermittently associated with the Baltimore City College for thirty- one years. Following his graduation from this school in l92bl, he attended the johns Hopkins University, re- ceiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in modern languages in l928. Afterwards, he coached football at his college alma mater: in lflfll, he returned to City as a language instructor. From HM2 to February of this year, he was a member of the vocational and curricular guidance department here, Mr. Kaufman's most recent appoint- ment was to Vice-Principal in charge ol' discipline and school administration, serving also as adviser to the City College chapter ol the National Honor Society. Still an active referee of football contests in the Atlantic Coast and liastern Intercollegiate Conferences, this amiable, wellrliked gentleman also has a major in- terest in camping. Happily married, he has two sonsg one is a teacher in City College and the other attends the Qlohns Hopkins l'uiversity. v.'N
