To The Liberal Arts Through the study of modern foreign languages. Clollegians may derive a thorough appreciation of the cultures of other peoples and countries which would otherwise be difficult to obtain. The Modern Lan- guage Department, renowned for its excellent educa' tional capacities, has seen to it that a variety of interest- ing and enriching' courses may be taken by the student. In addition to the regular classical Latin, German, French, and Spanish courses in which a fluent reading knowledge of native literature is stressed, an accelerated Latin course studying Cicero, Virgil, Livy, Horace, anci Caesar is offered.
