J the only one in which every student is rep- resented. The final department is the Student Court -the iudicial branch. These six iudges mete out penalties to offenders of school rules, but often their only punishment is friendly advice. Also, rolls with misconduct or absence at assemblies m a y be barred from attending future assemblies. Our court is still young, but as it gains more experi- ence so also will it gain responsibilities. A good student government is often the mark of a well-run school. The students and faculty at Ballard are very proud of their A.S.B. This year the A.S.B. has had more people participating efficiently in more ac- tivities than in any other year.
