How to ht clothes into closets which were too small was usually the biggest puzzle. An equally large enigma though was getting books. suitcases. and other articles stacked away in a room and still allowing a small amount of floor space. In some halls finding one's room was a problem. Writer's cramp plagued all Ball Staters during the opening of school for there were seemingly endless numbers of papers and cards to be hlled out. These problems were solved and school progressed .q,c

X The first major campus event of the fall was the annual freshman j amboree. West Campus provided the setting for this gala affair. Freshmen flocked to the jamboree to enjoy a delicious chicken or shrimp dinner, to get acquainted with their classmates, and to have fun.
