G. Kobs, Ball High7s Tors toppled Pasadenais green and white Eagles, 21-7. Israel Bustos put the first score on the hoard with a fourth down plunge from the six-yard line in the second period. Sixteen seconds later, Pasa- dena's all-state halfback, Bert Coan, scampered 77 yards to knot the count. Kobs scored shortly be- fore the half to put the Tors in a 14-7 lead. Conrad Pierce iced the game in the third period on a 28-yard scamper. Erasmo Herrera converted after all three Ball scores. James Shukanes, George Pinto and Carl Otte stack up an Eagle Ball carrier.

KOBS Three year letterman Quarterback 5310125 gazffo Woazg l4f6 Tyler, Sept. 144-Ball Highls Golden Tornadoes, utilizing a tight second half defense and a sur- prising aerial attack, humped the Tyler Lions, 14-6. Tyler tallied first as Delbert Brown circled the Tor defense for 12 yards to score. Ball retaliated as D. G. Kobs tossed a 24-yard touchdown pass to halfback James Shukanes for the tally. Conrad Pierce added his first of two extra points. Early in the fourth period, Kobs hit end Gregory Reckoff with a fourth down pass for 27 yards and another Tor touchdown. The Ball defense came in for high praise as they limited the Lions to 20 yards rushing in the second half, Bobby Wilkins and Bill Brown anchored the staunch Tor line. Herrera accounted for all of Ball's points with two touchdowns, a pair of extra points, and a field goal. After a scoreless first quarter, Herrera booted a 24- yard three-pointer early in the second period. The halftime score was upped to 10-0 as Herrera blasted over from the seven. After end Raymond Pritchard had snagged a Galena touchdown pass to close the gap to 10-6, Herrera went 64 yards for the final Tor tally.
