Pictured at the lower left Daniel Rodrlquez ,lo Ann Strong and Tommy Gillane Lower right Gilbert Martinez Edward Ruttiger, Among the yearly activities sponsored by the Student Council is the canned goods drive. This is held just before Christmas. All the food received is turned over to the Sal- vation Army for distribution. This year 4387 cans were given. Introducing this stock-piling of canned goods, is Twirp Week. During this interval, members of the fairer sex are given the run of the school. They may exercise certain school privileges usually granted to their masculine class- mates. lNote group below.l A nine-months project of the Student Council is the school store, maintained for the convenience of students, as is pictured above. Another annual activity is the sponsoring of school-wide clean-up week. Mrs. Mary C. Abraham is the Council's faculty sponsor.

Shown flying, and on display for the student body, is the Ball High Victory Flag. It was designed last year by Gary Brim, one of the many students who submitted ideas in the Student Council's contest. The Victory Flag is flown each time Ball High receives any out- standing recognition. The flag is of the traditional colors, purple background and gold letters. Uzcforzous cSp01'f.9122az2.SfQU Below are the Good Sportsmanship League delegates, Jimmy Snodgrass, Robert Wittig and Doris Katz. They are shown presenting to the Beaumont delegates the Ball High token of friendship, a half football covered with glitter.
