TABLE TENNIS In spite of the occupational hazards in- volved in setting up those crazy tables, table tennis is becoming more popular every year among the January-February sports. Working on a top-rung-takes-all basis, the girls set up ladder tournaments. Those who got there firstest with the mostest were Jackie Smith and Connie Masciale Cwho played as a doubles teamj and Eleanor Meinert, Paula Fricke, and Eileen Gottlieb who played singles. Miss Elna Biker was the advisor, and Con- nie Masciale, sports manager. Q X I! Sport for the Fun of It BOWLING Pity the poor pinboys when the B.H.S. bowl- ers hit the alley. With all those lucky strikes,', the boys really got a workout setting ,em up again. All this activity was carried on under the coaching of Mrs. Justine McConaughy, assist- ed by sports manager, Marilyn Horowitz. The teams are picked according to the aver- ages of the girls who bowl ten times during the season, the top five comprising the school team. This year the big tives' were Elaine Mower, Cynthia Morse, Margie Shea, Betty ,lane Jones, and Willa McDowell. Bowling for All ' ' Zf:942'Z2'--: Table Service for All Occasions PADDLE TENNIS Add fun, aggravating little boys. wooden paddles, rubber balls and the result-B.ll.S.is paddle tennis games. This sports period is held two times, in the spring and fall. Each group has two divisions, bandmembers and regular players. This year's sports managers were Buba llartlnann for the regulars. and Pat Duncan heading the band group. Iinder their advisor, Miss Evelyn Bond. the girls conducted championship matches at the end of the season. Barbara Brooks and Betty Fong collaborated to win the doubles game, while Gina Molinet took the singles.
