Head Twirler, Audrey Hageman S E N I O R B The seeming perpetual-motion of director Eugene North's baton has left the band breathless and yet ex- tremely proud. This year the hand made more than a dozen public ap- pearances which meant many re- hearsals and practices. Led down the field by drum-ma- jorette, lVlary Henry, and head twirl- er, Audrey Hageman, the band made intricate formations at the football games, the Polo Grounds, Ebbets Field, and the Republic Avi- ation plant. During the fall they also helped put on pep rallies. The band performed its civic duty by parading on lVlemorial Day and when Santa Claus came to town. In February, the band put on their Annual Concert. This yearls guest artist was violinist, Samuel Gardner. The year's activities were Com- pleted by playing at Jones Beach and at Baldwin High School com- mencement exercises. Dru nl Majorelte, Mary X Henry fp..,,.ll, ll: 35 .
