Wlith the profits from their Cake sale. the cluh sent a CARE Package to l'irance. made a contrihution to help restore the Palace of Versailles, and toured a French steainship in New York llarhor. The traditional German joviality was always present when the rneinhers met, spur- red on hy their enthusiastic advisor, Mrs. Breslin. Un this year's agenda was a cake sale. the proceeds of which went to- ward sending CARE packages to Cer- many. K PP HI-Y The enthusiasm and energy of its mem- bers has made Kappa a most successful Hi-Y. Its purposes for raising money were two- fold this year, support for its scholarship fund, and donations to a foreign Hi-Y. During the fall Kappa girls conducted a sales campaign of T.V. Guide magazine and had their annual cake sale. At Thanks- giving, and again at Christmas, Kappa members prepared baskets of food for needy families. ln December, they presen- ted a dance, Kandy Kane Kaperff Proving their interest in governmental affairs, the Kappa girls helped draft bills to be presented at the Hi-Y convention at Albany. Early in the year they held a cake sale and sold wrapping paper and ribbon to raise money which was to be used in a number of ways. Christmas arrived and found the girls clothing three needy child- ren of Baldwin and putting on an enter- ' tainment show. Under the direction of Miss Mild- red Currie and Mrs. Anne Bohlinann, the club endeavoreml to study Spanish customs and culture by playing Span- ish games and putting on skits. Having the annual Christmas party and going to a dinner and movie in New York were just a few highlights of the year.
