General Urganization The GO. has done a great deal for the school this past year. School spirit was promoted by means of pep ralliesg enter- taining exchange assemblies were plannedg buses were pro- vided for G. O. members to away football gamesg and, in support of the athletic program, the boys' insurance was paid. The G. O. also lent money to other organizations. held a dance, and conducted elections in the Spring. The greatest undertaking of the year was the sale of stu- dent activity tickets in the fall. Fuller Scholarship Fund. 3 , - ' i Q Q During the football season. it sponsored the sale of crew ' ' '-', H i- ' caps and scarves. and in March. a successful cake sale ' ' i' was held. The members revised their constitution bv adapting an amendment which provides that only stu- dents in the top quarter. rather than the highest third of CC 99 their class. are eligible for membership. he Crea! -x-P TONE , an . 5r:zreHTNE5S Cowrmsr Baldwin's own Continental, Bob De Fnccio, recites love lyrics, while two twirlers, Marie Gresalfi and Dot Menrisky do what comes naturally under the supervision of G. 0. advisor James 0'Neill. of 201 tickets sold over last year, as registered hy the rising thermometers which were placed in each homeroom. The sale of these tickets was led hy President Don Comhs and Vice- President ,lim Dougherty. Reductions in the price of the tickets were given to those participating in certain sports or activities. Another hig joh the Student Council tackled was to revise the constitution. The constitution now is completely up to date, including the exact duties, purposes and functions of this vital organization. The Student Council purchased an adding machine, type- writer, mimeographing machine, and a movie camera. These machines make the organization self-sustaining and may he used hy airy class or other organizations. We are grateful not only to the President and Vice-Presr dent, hut also to Secretary Pat Burgett and Treasurer Ritter Smith, who, with the four representatives from each class who compose the group, made this year's G. O. a success hy henc- fitting the student hody in every way possible.
