Mfg Dodge, Mr. dfinch, Mr. Beek, Mr. Fitzpatrick, and Mr. Mellott are the members' of the board.d I'hese men, who are glected by the voters of this school district, are responsible for the ,large task of handling much of the administrative work in connection with the school. In addition, all matters pertaining to the finances of the school must pass through their hands. Tliisaincludes payment of all bills, salaries, super' vising, purchasing, and looliing after the financial matters: pertaining to maintenance. l Although we rarely see these men, we are all grateful for the services they perform. l l lu s 'va D. SIDNEY H. DAVIDSON 0 PRINCIPAL An old saying, 'laugh and the world laughs with you, ery and you cry alone, emphasizes the virtue of approaching life with a cheerful attitude. However, some use this adage as an excuse for evading the serious side of life altogether. People who laugh in the wrong places and at the wrong time are regarded as foolish, and no one has much use for them. As our seniors of 1945 depart to fulfill their various destinies in this troubled world, I should like to express to them my sincere wish for their happiness and their success. It is my fond hope that life will present for all of them a smiling aspectg yet I ani confident that when necessary they are prepared to grit their teeth with most profound gravity and hattle their way through to the silver lining and the laugh on the other side.
