Class nf Fall + 1941 Do, re, mi, fa, sol, la, ti, do! Yes, you've guessed it-it's the music department this time. Day after day, the various groups can he heard practicing away, hoping that the old adage, practice makes perfect, will once more come true. One of the most ardent music lovers of the high senior class is none other than DORA JOHNSON. Besides the many activities in which Dora participates, she hnds time to practice scales and new arrangements, and he the third memher of that popular trio com- posed of Dorothylllggrington-and Norma Cominoli .... Proving that girls are not the only important persons in the musical held, ED SEGALE and W1r.1.rAM ROllIiR'I'SON have made a name for themselves hy singing in hoth the hoys' choiliis and a cappella choir .... DOT lllVING and MIIKIANI JOHNSON are two charming warhlers, in fact, their singing would make anyone listen, even hirds .... Contrary to the belief that there are only hoys in the hand, lialhoa can hoast of one girl who has played an im- portant part in the success of the hand. RnvAI.nn KERRAN lent her ahility on the clarinet .... EVIILYN MIlI.I.Eli'S voice was a pleasant ad- dition to the a cappella choir .... while jolly Ar. FARAONE has sung his way into the a cappella choir .... No Balhoa hand would he complete without the snappy clarinet playing of lin CrrAssA1NG, who has played so long in the hand that he has a very dehnite place estahlished as a A-1 clarinet player. . . . The musical ability of STEVIE CANNATA and HAIKIRY DEI.l.lNGES is unquestionahle. Steve playing haritone, and Harry playing hass are an unheatahle comhination. Both hoys should go far in the field of music .... DON PAULSON, quite adept at beating a drum, has given most of his time to the or- chestra and hand .... Six feet of muscle and a hot trumpet, yes, that's all it takes to descrihe CON- RAD HJULMAND, Connie for short .... Wliere would the Blue Boyslhe without Gene Krupa and his drums, or LUKE WAKIZ- lfll2l.D, leader of the hand, who also plays the drums for the Blue Boys? . . . A. saxophone and a sheet of music is STAN HEANl'iY'S idea of a nice way to spend a few hours, so he reports regularly for PRIC- tice with the Blue Boys and the hand .... An outstanding voice in the choir is NICK 'I'rr12RRY's, who is so fascinated hy music that he intends making a career of it. . . . Chorus after chorus includes the excellent tenor voi 'e of JOHN l7I'I'ZGlillAI.D .... I 1 FONTANA may play marches ith the orches- tra, hut yoh ought to hear him play a swing tunqfon his violin .... IZLMO FAMK may not he so tall, wut try etting someone to beat his tin' on the clarinet. Elmo's one hig amhition is to play first trumpet in a hand. .
