Class nf l5'all+1El41 Wlialt a life a reporter has! Scoops, editorials, deadlines, and picture schedules are just a few of the things connected with the pub- lications department. However, all of these combined have produced prize-winning Buccaneers and Grd,- leons term after term! Witli the cooperation of the members of both staffs and the hard work and emciency of the editors and advisors, it has been possible to produce worthy publi- cations. Amid enthusiastic plan- ninig and efforts, the staffs of the fall 'ffl Galleon and Buccaneer have passed a satisfying semester, ably headed by the two editors, ANNA l.A'ri2azA. Galleon, and Lois HANSIZN. Buccaneer. This term has been full of excitement with never a dull moment. Being editor takes a lot of time and hard work, but to Anna it's just another job. Starting her career as a cub re- porter, she worked herself up to associate editor and then editor. lieinq a member of Girls' Block ll, Honor Society, Quill and Scroll, 'l'ri and CSF., has Niven her a good background. Her unceasing capacity for hard work, likable personality, and cheery dis- position inaltrgher liked and ad- mired by everyone., W, . Wlithout the ability and generous helpful- ness of liditor Lois I-lM,Jsi2N, the Getting senior names is some job, liuccaneer could not have func- tioned as it did. Her routine work has been much the same as Anna's, only the deadlines come more frequently. l.ois linds time, how- ever, for numerous other activities . .such as being president of Girls' Block li, and member of Quill and Scroll, Balboa Honor Society and Board of Directors .... Those dashing sport stories that Bucca- neers have read all term long were written by none other than sports editor lim, Duc:Kr2'r'r. Although this was his Hrst term, Duck proved himself worthy and did one of the best jobs of editing the sports page that has ever been done. Wlien not writing for the Buccaneer or Galleon, you know Bill is out swimming. Being an A-l lifeguard is another of liill's many accomplishments .... Ads, any ads today, is the same old song, sung day after day, bv Lott- RAINIE l.A'l I'l2ltEI.I,, business man- ager of the Galleon, whose schol- astic achievement won for her the coveted spot on the commencement program as salutatorian. Her ad song may sound tiresome, but it gets results. Lorrie is active in the Honor Society, CSF., and the Quill and Scroll, serving the latter as secretary.
