The freshmen classes were laughl aboul' planls, poullry and bees, while lhe sophomores siudied all lypes of liveslock. The iuniors advanced by having a choice oi eilher hor- liculiure or agricullural mechanics, and lhe seniors learned how lo make money by farming. Among lhe courses olilerecl were bookkeeping, shorlhand. merchandising, lyping and s+enography.'College preparalory majors were also offered for sludenls who planned lo conlinue business courses in college. ln ihe fall, The deparl- menl' sponsored a 'ren-hour Chrislmas lraining program for all siudenls who iniended io work in business eslablishmenis during Chrislmas holidays. This program also helped sludenls gel parl-lime iobs in downlown slores.
