Senior Class Officers and Sponsors Left to right: JUDY HOGG, treasurer; FAYE DENSON, secretary; FELTON HARTLEY, president; MIKE JACKETT, vice-president. Standing: COACH EDWIN WOLF, sponsor; and COACH GEORGE HAMER, alternate sponsor. IV e, the graduating class of 1957-1958 have come to know and love the great school which we are now about to leave. Yet, we leave the better for having attended Baker ... As we look through our lives, how can we ever forget the laughter the heartaches—the depth and breadth of emotions that come from living, truly living, here at Baker? How can we ever forget the near and dear friends we have made, both in our class and others, the teachers, our guides, who played such an impor- tant part in molding our lives . . . the football games with all their excitement, the smell of candy apples and freshly roasted peanuts intermingled, and all the while, the crowds . . . the band passing by, the roll of the drum piercing the sharp autumn air . . . the deep sorrow at Mr. Cook’s untimely death . . . the enthusiasm with which we welcomed Dr. Kirby . . . the Junior-Senior at last! Girls and boys ar- rayed in their finest, looking their best . . . remem- ber Class Day? and the tears? Wonder who said they were not going to cry! And notv, now we are about to cross that sharply dividing threshhold be- tween childhood and adulthood, reluctantly, yet, eagerly. Reluctantly leaving one wonderful way of life behind, while eagerly accepting the challenge the netv way offers, confident that we are fully prepared . . . How can we ever thank you, Baker, for the Look at Life you gave us?
