History J oins Past and Present Sooner or later Qno matter how lucky you arel Everyone will experience the joy of having a civics class. Civics is a required class that seniors love to complain about. To the underclassmen, it's a goal they never want to achieve. But as Mr. Winsor put it, civics teaches you how to get involved in your government. The past-as much a part of you, or even more, than the present and future. We have sudden flashes of realization that those ancient people who have been gone for years were once alive with feelings of love and anger and depression just like ours. The essentials remain the same, and only the superficials change: Time and place are not as important as people and emotions. Birth of the Blues A mechanical drawing pencil, impregnated by the skill of a guiding hand, gives birth to a perfect circle or square. Blue prints are the final goal for these students. It is thought of as a boy's class but more and more girls are making their way into a once male domain.
