Ouzr teachers and their teachers did not obtain their education in the same way that we do, for teaching techniques have been extremely modernized since pioneer days, In one room school houses early teachers taught .a variety of sfubjects to a handful of pupils. But in the modem educational system teachers work in large buildings, usually specializfizng in one subject. Pioneer instructors needed little ability and often knew little more than their pupils.
