A ,J psf' BASKETBALL The Bainbridge Spartans basketball team finished its l935-36 season with a percentage of 875. The Spartans lost a close game to the Bremerton Wildcats in the opener and followed this game with losses to Poulsbo and Silverdale. A close game at Vashon netted the Spartans their first win of the season. ln the second half of the season the Spartans lost its fourth and fifth game to Bremerton and Poulsbo and then closed the season with wins over Vashon and Silverdale. The Lettermen are: TRACK TEAM The l936 track team was a strong contender at all meets in which it par- ticipatedg the Bainbridge squad took second place at the county high school meet held at Bremerton, Saturday, May 9, with Bremerton first and Poulsbo and Silverdale third and fourth respectively. Coach Schneider was greeted with a squad of 25 athletes the first turnout. On April lO, Bainbridge defeated Bremerton B at Bremerton 76 to 43, and on April l8, the Spartans downed Poulsbo on their home field by the same score. Dominick Svornich took first place in the javelin throw at the district meet and Won the opportunity of going to the state meet at Pullman.
