A ,J psf' BASKETBALL The Bainbridge Spartans basketball team finished its l935-36 season with a percentage of 875. The Spartans lost a close game to the Bremerton Wildcats in the opener and followed this game with losses to Poulsbo and Silverdale. A close game at Vashon netted the Spartans their first win of the season. ln the second half of the season the Spartans lost its fourth and fifth game to Bremerton and Poulsbo and then closed the season with wins over Vashon and Silverdale. FOOTBALL The l935 Bainbridge football team lost the chance for a tie for the County championship by losing a tough final game at Poulsbo, 2-U, This years' team Was handicapped greatly by lack of size and weight but the season was considered a success. The highlight of the season and perhaps the most exciting game was played on a rainy day at Port Orchard when the Spar- tans held the heavier Wolves to a scoreless tie. Port Orchard by virtue of Bainbridges losses to Poulsbo Went on to take the championship. Eleven lettermen Seniors will be greatly missed in the coming season.
