.Yi as OC DIVISIG Communicating is what OC Division is all about. While the Signalmen are concerned with visual communications, the Radiomen are down in Radio' Central working with Radio- Teletype circuits and Voice circuits among others. Naval Communications, often referred to as the Voice of Command , is a hectic and fast-paced job, requiring the utmost in modern techniques. RM,s and SM's are constantly drilling to perfect these techniques. The RM's also ran the MARS Station, and patched over 600 calls home during the deployment, and in one case, patched a call to a doctor thousands of miles away that enabled the Medical officer aboard to assist in an operation aboard another ship. gaff f f,. ...W ., q yy x IX:

Among other things, the Boatswains Mates are responsible for the outer preservation of the ship, the various small boats, Underway replenishment, and running liberty boats.
