By taking in 10 new brothers in the fall and 28 new brothers in the winter they increased their brotherhood to 74, the largest number in nine years. Delta Sig had another successful social year with their annual Purple Garter being the high point. The Cambridge Boat Club was the scene of the winter rush party. The huge success is evidenced by the large number of new brothers. The Tri-Fraternity Athletic Trophy was retired this year by Delta Sigma Pig capturing the coveted award for the third year in a row. They were unde- feated in athletics until the final softball game. De- spite this defeat they iinished with an impressive 4-1-1 record. Delta Sig distinguished itself on campus by holding a benefit car wash for the Paul Mmphy Fund. Kevin Kavanagh, running as Eliot Mess, met with much success as Delta Sig united to out per- form the other competing organizations. Peter O'Keefe and Ion Whitcup won the faculty award as co-chairmen of Delta Sig's mayoralty campaign for running the best campaign in terms of continuity and good taste. A great deal of respect and commendation is due to this yearis executive committee headed by President Brian Barefoot. Indeed, a fraternity as large as Delta Sigma Pi necessitates leadership of this high caliber in order to maintain its high position on the Babson campus. Best of luck is wished to Ion Whitcup, the new president succeeding Brian Bare- foot, and the rest of the newly elected oflicers for the 1966-67 academic year. JOH
