BABSON MARKETING ASSOCIATION The Babson Marketing Association, a colle- giate division of the American Marketing Association, has this year deviated from the more traditional club activities. Our objec- tive Was to strengthen the bonds between ourselves and the other collegiate divisions. The primary tool in facilitating this goal Was a session of business games run through the computer at Chandler junior College. Sev- eral afternoons were spent by a delegation of club members in planning strategy, and then several days in actually running the games. We were all quite proud that Babson won the competition. Again, with unification in mind, Babson and the other marketing clubs sponsored a banquet held in late April. This event proved to be most successful and certainly will be- come a permanent event on the Associationis calendar. The Association maintained an active speaker and Elm program this year. By far the most outstanding speaker program of the year was held in early spring. The speakers were Mr. Iohn Graham, Space and Informa- tion Systems Division, Raytheon Company, and Mr. Iohn Lazur, Associate Technical Director, Communications Division, Mitre Corporation, which is an Air Force consult- ing agency for systems engineering. A wide range of subject matter was covered that night, topics not usually stressed in our busi- ness curriculum. Through programs such as this, and in working with other schools, we hope to bring to our members the practical experience and personal enjoyment of participating in a club with its eyes on the horizon.
