Tennis Team Has Best Year Ever The A.P.C. men ' s tennis team played well and gained respectability by beating Whittier and Point Loma for the first time since 1976. This was the finest team in 5 years fin- ishmg with a record of 6-10 in dual matches. The season was filled with excitement as the Cougars dropped two, 1 point decisions to highly talented Cal Lutheran and West- mont. Doug Martinez and Dave Welk were standouts all year with Dave Reeve, Robert Haviland, Simon Melindez add- ing firepower. Coach Henry Gee felt that all the players had improved over last year.
