Ooo La, La Sasson A student models her new pair of Sperry Topsiders. r — fi» As on any campus, clothing played a big part in every student ' s life. For the 1981 look it was clear that if you wanted to be in style the Preppy look was in. The prep look consisted of oxford shirts, cor- duroy pants, wool skirts, blazers, alligator ( ! ' ( ) shirts and the most important thing of all, Topsider shoes by Sperry. This all came to cost quite a bit. Izod shirts ran approximately $20, as did oxford shirts. Topsiders varied from $50-$60. Wool skirts usually ran about $50. Some students took to the more causal approach with Designer jeans. Some of the more popular brands were Calvin Klein, Sasson, Brilania, )ordache, and Sergio Valente. But these too cost bucks. Most jeans ran approximately $60. But no matter what the price students went to great extremes to stay in fashion. Fads A Student Life T I

Sailing tfie Stars Sailing the Stars was the theme for the annual Spring Thing Banquet. But this year was anything but routine. For the first time it was held in UTCC. This was done to help lower the cost so that more students whould have the opportunity to attend. Dinner was prepared by Azusa ' s very own cafeteria staff. The meal con- sisted of Turkey, Roast Beef, Ham, Shrimp, fruit trays and for dessert Baverian Cream pie. The highlight of the evening was the entertainment. Michelle Pillar along with Erick Nelson performed some of their well-known Christian hits along with the band One Truth. The evening was a complete success and had the biggest attendance ever for a Spring Thing banquet. Phil Bravo and his date Stephanie Alpenia take time out to have their pictures taken as a remem- brance of the good time they had at the banquet. UTCC awaits the crowd for the banquet. All the decorations were made by students under the direc- tion of Dana Daniels. Spring Thing j Student Life t )
