CONTINJINfr ASSlJRANCll™ . TlrflJMPH Preparation for Dinner Rally 1980 began a year ago at the completion of Dinner Rally 1979. Under the direction of Mrs. Ginger Wallace many hours of preparation were put in. -Three days prior to the Dinner Rally the campus began buzzing with activity. Faculty, staff, and students began setting up chairs, tables, and platforms. Finally the big night came. The guests arrived and the festivities began. The evening included- live entertainment by the musical groups along with personal testimonies by faculty, staff. and students. Dr. Stan Newell, former ARC student body president, was awarded the alumnus of the year award. Dr. Newell is currently one of the leading foot specialists in the country. The night was brought to a close by the tallying of the donations given by the many guests. When the smoke had cleared the grand total was $662,700.00. All the hard work that had been put in by those involved with Dinner Rally was greatly appre- ciated and well worth it. Another favorite st udy habit was to memorize a formula or two between serves. Some people had to be totally different in their study habits; just imagine trying to study in your room! Dave Over must have been trying to be a trend setter. Between classes you could usually find people trying to study in the Snack Bar. Raymond, Fred, and Felix seemed to have unusually good times.
