Special Concerts Phil Keagy shows his extreme talent with the electric guitar. His rock and roll brought APC. new life to There were many special concerts offered at Azusa during tine year. Some were sponsored by ASB others by independent groups on campus. But no matter who was in charge, it was always a relief to the campus weekend blues. One of the biggest concerts was the Phil Keaggy concert. It has been said that Phil is the best guitarist in the world. His performance in UTCC showed exactly why. Another favorite was Ken Medema. After singing in chapel he presented a special concert in the evening for all students. He was one of the few people to receive a standing ovation for his musical talents. No matter who was giving the con- cert it was a time for social gathering at APC. A member of the band Freeway plays in the amphitheatre. Outside concerts gave students the chance to enjoy music along with fresh air. A soloist from the group Unity sings her praises to God during Chapel. Special Concerts Student Life ttam-

How Do People Study? Here at Azusa Pacific College, people try various methods of study. It ' s not unusual to find people doing some last minute homework in the Snack Bar or even during Chapel time. Some people tried studying in the Library if they needed the extra pri- vacy. And just to be different, some folks tried studying in their rooms. Even more common were the people who broke social norms by not study- ing at all. )ust as commonplace as seeing people studying their books intently, was seeing people intently studying the game of pool. Playing a game of ping pong is just as impor- tant as finishing the chapter in a Chemistry book to some people. It ' s surprising how creative one can get when the word is out about a special at Fosters. Regardless of the method of study, it ' s not the appearance but the outcome that counts. During Finals Week, many people used various methods for study, includ- ing Cram Nites, which were held in the Snack Bar.
