Lnapei brings Students Together One of the privileges of being a stu- dent here at Azusa Pacific College is the opportunity to attend chapel. There are three chapel meetings a week and the progranns are generally well-rounded. At each chapel session we are blessed with a wide variety of special music; including different soloists, vocal and instrumental choirs. The speakers succeeded in inspiring the student body to become world Christians. With an emphasis on our importance to the real world and having a total commit- ment to Christ. Chapel is certainly an enlightening time. Tony Campolo says, Be a radical Christian. I am. Many students fac- ulty felt he was the most dynamic speaker APC had ever had. John Fischer challenges students to find the single identity person. Dr. Ben Reid speaks on making a total commitment. on Chapel U Activities

Looking in disbelief is Phil Schakelton. He realizes it is Monday but did the whole choir have to be off key? Blues What a relief! . . . The weekend. Nothing in the world seems so good as Friday afternoon. After 5 solid days of homework and exams the week is finally a time to relax and catch up on lost sleep. But somethings happens in those 52 hours between Friday afternoon and Sunday night. The time seems to just fly and all of a sudden you wake up and have MONDAY BLUES! What is Monday Blues? It is some- thing that affects every college student just about the time the alarm blares in your room. An instant feeling of sickness in the pit of your stomach sets in and tells you it ' s time to face the world once again. Next comes the struggle to pry your body out of bed and into a standing position so that you can attempt to take a shower. Some students reach this point and stop. They decide they ' ll try to get up maybe on Tues- day. Others take the challenge and go forth to con- quer. As you arrive in class you are reminded of the things you were supposed to have studied for. At this point you either try to cram with extensive speed or just resign yourself to the fact that it ' s Monday and there is nothing you can do about it. As the day progresses you have a feeling of relief begin to come over you telling you that it can ' t get any worse and with any luck at all Tuesday will be a heck of a lot better. Also comes the feeling of exuber- ance that in 4 more days it will be the WEEKEND!!! 22 Monday Blues Student Life
