Financial Aid and Student Accounts No matter how hard you try, at one point in every semester you have to find that office on campus called Student Accounts. This is the place you pay the dreaded tuition bill. Students spent many frustrated hours in Student Accounts and Fman- cial Aid trying to find dollars to keep themselves m school. Cal- Grants, scholarships and student loans were often times saviors to stu- dents in need. With what could be considered the worst office to work in these peo- ple always seemed to have a smile and be willing to try and find some source of help. Checking a student ' s account is Shirley Altopp. Kathy Drake and Rachel Black check on some information for Cal-Grants for students. A student pays her bill for Spring semester. How to Apply Yourself The department of Admissions is under the direction of Larry Brooks, it is this department in which every student must receive clearance. The admissions department is responsible for approving applications to the school and making sure the student applying is academically able to handle the school and willing to abide by the set Christian standards of the school. This year ' s admission counselors, Karen Rafftery, Dan Wood and Dave Bixby did an out- standing job in recruitment for the school. They spent many long hours traveling out of the area and state and giving uncountable tours of the school and its fine cafete- ria. Karen Rafftery explains the courses offered at APC to a pro- spective student. Collecting the day ' s mail of applications is Admission Application Coordinator Vera McDaniel. Checking over some final acceptance letters is Admis- sions Office Manager Eileen Panos. QQ Admissions I OO People Practicing his tour of the school alone is Dan Wood. Jeannette Brookings discusses a student ' s transcripts with Sharon Crowl. Registrar Cot Computerized Something new happened in the Regist- rar ' s office. Some called it a miracle. It no longer took three years in line to register for classes. Yes, the age of technology had finally reached Azusa. A wonderful object called a computer had just made the night- mare of registration go away. It now took students approximately 5 min- utes to register. The days of going from line to line were over; and so were the tears. This new little invention was a wel- come sight to frustrated students.
