The Rising Cost of Texts Every new semester brings the familiar ritual we all know as buying our books. For some unknown reason, new classes require new text books. This ritual, though quite necessary, is increasingly unpopular. It is frequently avoided whenever possible by finding someone who has the book we need and borrowing it instead of buying it. However, when that proves to be unsuccessful, we end up, with all the others, at the book store! The only thing more frightening than the seemingly endless line at the cash reg- ister, is the price of the books printed on the inside cover.
