The Pond Tradition One of the favorite traditions of stu- dents at APC is that of ponding all those who celebrate a birthday. Whether it ' s in the middle of the day, or in the dark of night, there comes a time v hen everyone is dragged, arms and legs thrashing, from their peace- ful routine, and thrown unmercifully into the cold, wet water of the pond. Once you ' re in, there isn ' t much you can do but dry off and keep smiling. So ... if one day you find yourself going in, try to pull as many people with you as you can. Start your own tradition! Rhea Davis, Robyn Cilmour and Daria Parks all show off the silverware used in the campus caper. V lohn Baugus Sophomore louslin Bavra Freshman Campus Capers College life isn ' t all books, classes, and home- work. Every now and then students take a break from their studies and create mass confusion. Three students did just that, when they man- aged to take all the silverware from the school cafeteria, and dump it in the deep end of the pool in the Bowles Apartment Complex. Of course, silverware in large quantities can be quite heavy, and extremely noisy when drop- ped, slowly to the bottom of the pool. Cafeteria- goers were furnished with plastic utensils until the stainless steel was discovered on the cafete- ria doorstep, mysteriously left in an unmarked shopping cart.
