ASB Plays Musical Chairs When a president resigns it is the option of the student council to appoint a new president. In the past this has been done by appointing one of the other executive council members (The Business Manager or Student Director of Activities). When Rob Crellman resigned at the end of the Fall semester, Lynne Manecke was appointed to the office of presi- dent by a three quarters vote of the student council. Two other ASB members resigned; Chris Pumphrey (The Bowles LAC) was replaced by Chris Zeiler and Terri Foster (ASB Secretary) was replaced by Carrie Luther. Also, Rhonda Smith (The Off-Campus LAC) was appointed to the SDA and Dean Reh- feld became the Off-Campus LAC. PEOPLE PEOPLE PEOPLE PEG The most important part of any school? Peoplel Not only the stu- dents but the faculty and administra- tion. All played an important part in studies, career pursuits, tears and laughter. Ther e were people who we admired, people who we kicked around with, and people who we respected. Whether it was in the classroom or in the cafeteria, all con- tributed in making our years in col- lege a growing time as well as a learn- ing time. From people we learned skills, gained knowledge, and from some of these people we received something which we could never read in a book or hear in a lecture: the discovery of something new within ourselves. Students came to Azusa for a variety of reasons. Some came so they could be scouted for professional baseball, some in search of a Mrs. degree, oth- ers came for the spiritual aspect, and yet, most came for that golden piece of paper — the college diploma. No matter what their reasons, there was a unity on the campus, a bond which made them realize they needed each other to cope with the everyday struggles of college life. 1 4 A Divider Page I People
