». The International Life Attending school in another country is often a hard and frustrating experience. Many International students expressed the difficulty of trying to take college classes and not being able to speak the language. For some a bi-lingual dictionary was their only way of communication. And if that wasn ' t bad enough the cost to call home and hear a familiar voice was expensive and sometimes not possible. A thirty minute phone call home often cost as much as $75. Many International students enjoyed the company of each other within the International Club. It was a time for them to share their good and bad experiences with a person who was having a similar situation occur. The International Student club provided a much needed fellowship opportu- nity for its participants. i i! International Students Organizations 107

One of the most active clubs on campus was Fellowship of Christian Athletes. This group met every Thursday morning to share and fellowship with other Christians. It was not a pre-requisite to be an athletes as many assumed. The meetings were a time for bible studies and many times outside speakers came to share their testimony. One of the largest undertakings of the group was their Clothes for Christ drive. Students solicited all over the community for clothes for the needy in Mexico. The project was a large success and many were helped because of it. Individuals often gave their testimonies to schools or other community func- tions. This group was another of Azu- sa ' s outreach attempts to the community and many were rought to Christ through this minisitry. lUO Orgnanizations
