8.D.A. STUDENT DIRECTOR OF ACTIVITIE9 When she isn ' t out running around. Shirlene McDugall fills the position on the Council as the SD.A, (Student Director of Activities). She not only runs for the Cougar wonnen ' s track team, but also coordinates all of the AS B, -related activities. Yes, she ' s the one who thought of , just about everything. Shirlene not only worked hard at her position, but she did it well. As well as arranging for films to be shown on campus, she also arranges from the smallest events all the way up to planning Les Femmes and Spring Thing. Shirlene is a junior liberal arts major, with a navigation minor. She can be heard in her sleep saying, I didn ' t draw the mapi BU9INE98 MANAGER Randy Dopp, Randall to his friends is the returning Business Manager for the 1 979- ' 80 school year As a business manager, he kept the books clean and the Council members begging for more. As a business administration major. Randy ' s job for the past two years has helped prepare him for his future in the work- ing world. As a Beaumont citizen, Randy helped the AS B. members from spending all the money. It is said that Randy was an integral part of the success of Din- ner Rally When asked why he didn ' t become business manager for a third year, he was heard to reply, I lost my pencil. ci2 , ' - ' SB. VOLLEYBALL CLUB The volleyball club is a fun-filled, excit- ing club. The club explores the unlim- ited areas of this intense sport. With awesome matches and mind-blowing games, the club excells to the outer- most limits of power volleyball All the club members are serious vol- leyball players Their motto is: Volley- ball is no joke, Don ' t be surprised if you see some or all of these club members playing in the 1984 Olym- pics, or on the cover of the Rolling Stones Magazine, Bottom Row (I. to r.) Dan Punn Here at APC the frisbee club meets every Wednesday for the ultimate game, one of the fastest, most exciting games today. This game involves precision, pass- ing, team work and amazing aer- ial maneuvers. It requires skill, agility and a go-for-it attitude that will boost the trisbee club members into future stardom in the frisbee world. The frisbee club meets on the lawn between Village and Trinity, but is often asked to leave because of its gnarly behavior which tends to uproot the turf on which they play. Strangely enough, the school supplies this field for use of its students, then kicks them off However, mem- bers have fun anyways, and that ' s what really matters ACTIVITIES 81

J COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR Nancy G, Anderson is a senior Communications and Religion ma|or who used her communication expertise as the Communications Director for the AS.B. She not only was the PR man lor the council but she also moonlighted as the chairman ot the publications board and director of the ' 80- ' 81 council election. Nancy took her job seriously and was a good leader and a big help to the council. Nancy informed the stu- dents of A S.B. happenings and helped students become involved. J I A.8.B. SECRETARY Jenny Schmucker ' s qualifications started as the housing secretary and helped set her up for her A. S.B. position as secretary. She is a Sophomore Business Administration ma)or, with a real head for organization that make the jobs of the other council members easier. She was a natural force on the council and helped all of the council members. As well as taking messages for the gang of nine she also made certain that the council members were where they were sup- posed to be at, at the correct time. A.S.B. PROFILE 83
