M A University of South Carolina fi ,arf iiggzfcdfkfifagf W H C3 43 as E D Principal 's Message It has been my pleasure and good fortune as a student, patron, and teacher to see the present school location eme rge from a dense oak thicket to a modern school plant with modern facilities and the original student body of 50 to 60 students, only half of which came from the pre- sent high school area, grow into a student body of over 700 local child- ren. The school is now well-equipped to offer cour s e s of instruction which lead to academicgbusiness or agricultural pursuits. The expanded curriculum. the clubs and their activities, and the physical program are all correlated in a way as to enrich the life of anyone who will take ad- vantage of the opportunity. I congratulate the Revue Staff and its spon- sors for recording so vividly the memories of the year 1957-58 for us. In years to come it will well serve to call to our minds the opportunities of which we did or did not avail ourselves and also the pleasant memo- ries of a period in life which each g ene ration looks back upon as the good old days.
