The quill represents the meticulous care which must be put forth to turn thoughts into proper language, and the scroll represents ll the permanent quality of good writing. Quill and Scroll was organized in 1926 by a group of high school advisers and today includes more than 7,500 chapters located in every state of the union and in foreign countries around the World. The charter for the Eugene Price Chapter of Quill and Scroll Was granted by the national headquarters in February. 1' . , Q li I I l I I T , Eugene Price, for whom the local chapter was named, is managing editor of the Goldsboro News- Argus. Mr. Price, who was instru- mental in helping Aycock High School establish The Educator, is a friend of all young people in- terested in journalism and good writing.
