BASKETBALL le received the second olace trophy at the 'Tieen Valley Tourna ment in Axtell Jan. 25,24 In 25. le were Runner's Up at Class D District B. B. Tournament held at Holdrege on Feb. 26,2L 28 and larch 1. Kelvin Horeley was chosen honorary captain af one of Axtell's best basketball team. VOLLEY BALL lhie was the first year for volley ball at A H.S. and we ce1e- brated by winning first in the 'Tween Valley Tournament held at Republican City Feb. 24 b 25. Dyllis, Shirley and Betty were honorary captains at the tournament and also hlgh point servers for the season. In 1946-147 Axtell had its most successful year 1n muslc' Groupe and solos F8C6iV1hg superlors at the 'Tween Valley Fest1val held 1h Wilcox March 26 were the following: Duane Nelson, Robert Wen- dell, Harriette Blooms Duet, Triple Tr1o, Brass Quartette,Cornet Duet, G1rl's Glee Club, Mlxed Chorus and Band.
