K ., R - ......... -, .... -.. ..a,,....., 5f The 1971 Awalt Junior Spartans became the first undis- puted football champions in the school's history. After losing their first two non-league games, the JVs downed Wilcox in a close 14-8 contest for their first league win. After defeating Buchser and Santa Clara the JVs posted an impressive l4-0 shutout over undefeated arch-rival Los Altos. Two wins later the Junior Spartans posted their seventh win in a row by routing Mt. View 27-6 to become league champs. S.C.V.A.L.
