We are proud of that superior they get. in the festival and look for then to.keep up-the good work, f d ' e1sm1sTMAs ,oPssETf:s 1 , 'The Christmas Operetta was presented at the Avondale gym- nasium on the night of December 21st, This is one of the most important affairs whlch Avondale presents each year, It is given by the grade school ana this year it, was under the direction of Miss Wilson and Mr. Mathews, The name of it' was 'The Toys That Were Left Behlndu. It was alstery based on a group of toys that d1dn't have a place to be taken to on Chris- tmas Evo. All of the parts were taken by all grades from the first through the sixth grade. The little first graders,played the part of the candy canes and they were dressed in red' and white costumes which resembled candy canes. , The second and third graders were Jumping Jacks.
