Our President for the year was Anita DeGroff.Mr.Snyder and Mrs. Edwards started out as our class advisers. Our calendar - selling campaign was a great success as it always is with Freshmen. Our Freshman Dance, although it had been postponed, turned out to be our biggest profit making dance. Some of us got right into the swim of things in High School and Anita DeGroff, Bonnie Hunt, Joanne Lyke, and J oan Calkins became Cheerleaders on the Junior Varsity Squad. SOPHOMORE: This year, although we had a little more experience, was a tough one. We elected Bonnie Hunt as President and Mr. Snyder and Mrs. Edwards were still our Advisers. Our Class Dance was postponed again but still was successful. This was the year that some of our classmates received some awards and gained the recognition of the High Latin Award. Raymond Albee won a trip to New York City and Diane Spears joined the Cheer- leading Squad. Bonnie Hunt was a contestant in the Annual Speaking Contest. JUNIORS: When we became J imiors, we thought we had hit a vein of gold. We started the year out by choosing our Class Rings which most of us still wear proudly. Bill Koenemann was elected President and although Mr. Snyder remained one of our advisers, we sadly said good-bye to Mrs. Edwards, but gainedMr. Roberg as the other adviser. We also changed rooms. This year, too, we joined the Seniors in planning the Prom. It was very successful as we split the profits with the Seniors and made thirty dollars. Two of our classmates, Bill Koenemann and Bonnie Hill, were chosen Prince and Princess of the Prom. At the end of the year seven of our classmates were elected to the National Honor Society. These were Eloise Drake, Joan Badeau, Bonnie Hill, Bonnie Hunt, Phyllis Dockstader, Mary Jo Bucci. and Edward Lysyczyn. Bill Koenemann went to Boys' State and Phyllis Dockstader to Girls' State. SENIORS: At last we're Seniors. We will be sad to leave this school, a place where we have gone for the last thirteen years, sometimes dreading it and other times having some of the best experiences we will ever have. As our last President, we elected Edward Lysyczyn. Mr. Snyder and Mr. Roberg are still our Class Advisers. To both of them we give many thanks for helping us. Especially, we would like to thank Mr. Snyder. He was able to last all four years and we have appreciated his advice. Early in September, we launched our Magazine Campaign. We had two teams with Bill Koenemann and Bonnie Hill as Captains. We went over our goal of twenty three hundred dollars with Bill's Team winning. So to climax the campaign, we had a Halloween Party at Bonnie Hill's. There were lots of sur- prises and our campaign mascot, a little blue dog, was raffled off to Bill Koenemann. Everyone has been busy trading Senior Pictures and working on various projects. One of these is our play Come Out of the Closet. Senior's having a part in the play were Diane Spears, Bill Koenemann, Bonnie Hill, Mary Jo Bucci and Elose Drake. Other Seniors busy themselves with scenery and props. Also several Seniors had the Honor of being chosen as Cheerleaders: Bonnie Hunt, Diane Spears and Joanne Lyke, Varsity Squad: Mary Jo Bucci and Geraldine Coots, Junior Varsity. Elsewhere in Sports, Eloise Drake and Joan Calkins, were elected as Captains of the Gold and Maroon Teams, respectively. We had another successful Dance and look forward to Prom in May. In October we said good-bye to Claretha Johnson, who has been with us for the last four years. 23 Most Belligerent Most Traveled MEMORIES Most Athletic Most Jovial MOS! JUNIOR CLASS Barbara Burdette as President, Patricia Lynch as Vice-President, Susan Pierson as Secretary qlater replaced by Suzanne Miller, and Linda Day as Treasurer, guided the destiny of our class in its Freshman year. In October we sponsored the annual calendar campaign which gave us a good start financially. On No- vember l6, we had a Sadie Hawkins dance from which we cleared 35120. Alvin Palmer, a classmate, was in a tragic fatal accident in March. ln our Sophomore year we decided that our classmates best suited for class officers were: President, William Fox, Vice-President, Franklyn Lysyczyn, Secretary, Suzanne Miller, Treasurer, Linda Day. Ioan and Janet Smith had parts in the high school play, Nothinglut '-lk Truth. Cynthia Anderson received the award for excellence in the study of Latin that year. Our Junior year gave promise of being a very exciting one. Franklyn Lysyczyn and William Fox were tapped as candidates for the vice-presidency of the Student Council. Bill defeated Frankie in the race. In No- vember we became the proud possessors of our class rings which everyone looked forward to having. On October 17, we sponsored a Hallowe'en Dance, The Ghostly Night, which turned out to be a success. Linda Day, Cynthia Anderson, Paul Kromer, Lanny Meese and Stanford Lyke had parts in the Senior play, Come Out Qthe Closet. 26 ROW If C. l-Iewson, President: D. Peck, Vice-Pres.: B.
