THEY'RE ALL LAUGHING COOKING MUST BE FUN SEIIIJ Seco Club is open to all interested girls who have had, or who are taking, a course in Homemaking. The Club serves as a proving ground for techniques learned in Homemaking Classes and it also forms an active social group for girls with similar interests. Seco Club activities vary with the in- terests of the members but most years' calendars seem to include the following: A welcome party for new girls in school, a Christmas party, a children's Easter party, a farewell party for Senior girls, and a members' swim and cook out. This year the club enjoyed a most successful Pa, Ma and Men night, Many informative and interesting dem- onstrations and programs have been en- joyed by the girls this year. And the vari- ous parties and teas, etc., have been fun, as well as affording opportunities to practice social skill and techniques that all good homemakers need to cultivate. S

G. A. A. was started with a number of new members replacing members of the previous vear and a new advisor, Mrs. Crook. The calendar was filled with different activities from beginning to end. Freshmen and new members were put to the test when the Initiation and Slumber Party was given in their honor. A solemn ceremony was held as each new member pledged to abide by the laws of the G. A. A. Constitution. The Annual Mother-Daughter Banquet was held in February where talent was exhibited and a delicious meal of turkey and all the trimmings was served. An All- School Dance was presented by the G. A. A., in April, which was a huge success. Another annual event, the G. A. A. Girls League installation of officers was held in May. First on the sport's list was swimming which was refreshing to everyone after spending long hours in class during the last warm days of summer. Volleyball brought everyone out to games with a high rating of competition. Basketball was extra rough with the girls trying their best to win for their team, using sportsmanship and skill. Hockey and speedball were games featuring a variety of skills and requiring techniques of control and teamwork. Tennis and badminton were alternates for the enjoyment of learning the individual skills needed for those games.
