Student Life This year Austin School has again seen a growth in population. We en- ded last year with about 145 students. This year we swelled to 191 at our peak. Since our new school is not due to be completed till next year and our walls wouldn’t stretch anymore, a mo- bile unit was added. This new unit added two rooms to our school. Also this year, our school welcomed Mr. Wayne Montgomery as the new school principal. Mr. Montgomery has been a principal in both Idaho and Nevada. He attained his degree in administra- tion at Boise College and Rutgers Uni- versity. We look forward to his being here along with the new school for many years to come. Principal’s Message Top right: Mr. Montgomery with a gleam In his eyes and Bobby Helming grinning In terror. Below left: Mr. Montgomery addresses the Indians and the Pilgrims. Below right: Mr. Montgomery, Mr. Mrs. Dalluge selling tickets at the Carnival. There are many things that I could advise you on concerning your years at this school. However most people choose to experience things for themselves and discover what works best for them. The years that you will spend at this school are but few, but the knowledge that you gain here will have a lasting effect on the rest of your life. If you take advantage of every educational opportunity and involve yourselves in the many worthwhile activities going on around this school and community, then your experience here will take on a new meaning for you. More importantly, these worthwhile experiences will prepare you to take your place in America as a contributing citizen. To those of you who have found the value of an education, I wish you the greatest opportunities in your pursuit of knowledge and the best of times in finding out what works for you. I have enjoyed serving as the Principal of your school and trust that the relationships that we have established with each other will long be remembered. Mr. Montgomery, Principal 5
