Paint The “A” Day Painting the “A” has been the job of the Freshmen for many years at Aus- tin. The Seniors take on the solemn duty of supervising the pulling of weeds and applying of white wash to the “A” by the Freshman class. The Freshmen are always excited to see this day arrive! Often they are so anxious to begin that they don’t even wait for a ride up the hill, instead they run up the hill in their zeal to begin. When the job is done to everyones satisfaction you can usually see the Freshmen giving thanks that they had the privilege of providing this service to their school. Top Left: Jenny Ramos loves her work Left: Donna Young, Debbie Manzint, Jenny Ra- mos, Branda Brooks and Jennifer Todd — giv- ing thanks Above: Sheila Linhart, Joe Dory and Mr. Mont- gomery — in solemn supervision Hi Ho, Hi Ho, a painting we will go Yes, I think that will do the trick. 7
