Over the last year there has been a great deal of anticipation about probable changes at Austin Schools. We are now seeing the Inspiration Mine Project begin. How many children will come into our school from this project is still to be seen. There has been a great deal of work and discussion on a bond issue for a new school. On June 10, 1986, we will see what the voters say. When you read this these questions will be answered and we will be dealing with the results of those answers. The 1985-86 school year will have much history when looking back. It may be the end of one of the smallest combined schools in the state and the beginning of a much enlarged school. Hopefully, we will be able to direct this growth in a positive way for the benefit of all. Gary Pierson, Principal The most important years of anyone’s life are the one’s in school: elementary, secondary, and then on to college. The students in Austin have a very distinct advantage of a small school at- mosphere. From kindergarten to senior class, each one has the one on one atten- tion needed to excel. Even though we are the smallest school we have graduated classes to be proud of. I have been watching classes graduate from Austin since 1977. Each class was special and has contributed something im- portant to society. The history of Austin School may change, but we will always be proud of the students who are attending and have at- tended the smallest school in Nevada. You are all very special.
